He discussed judicial reform in Ukraine and the fight against corruption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation with the European Union on reforms related to the rule of law, financial management, Ukraine\u2019s EU integration, and support from DG NEAR. We agreed on joint work and communication. <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I thank Limantas Manfredas and Matteo De Simone for a productive and insightful meeting!\u201d<\/em> \u2014 said <strong>Oleksandr Vasiuk.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement (DG NEAR) of the European Commission<\/strong> is responsible for developing and implementing EU policy regarding neighboring countries, aimed at strengthening relations, cooperation, and stability in the region.
