Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksandr Vasiuk <\/strong>held a meeting with Albert Frick, the Speaker of the Parliament of Liechtenstein<\/strong>. They discussed several important issues, including the allocation of a new aid package for Ukraine amounting to 8 million Swiss francs<\/strong> to support the country\u2019s rapid recovery, expanding cooperation between the parliaments of Ukraine and Liechtenstein, and strengthening interparliamentary relations. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI also spoke about judicial and anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine. We discussed increasing international sanctions against Russia, Ukraine\u2019s support on the international stage, humanitarian issues, and the problem of the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children by russia,\u201d<\/em> \u2014 said Oleksandr Vasiuk.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, Oleksandr Vasiuk <\/strong>invited Albert Frick<\/strong> to visit Ukraine, particularly the regions most affected by the war.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDuring my visit to Liechtenstein, the country\u2019s parliament made an important decision for Ukraine: the allocation of 8 million Swiss francs <\/strong>for the years 2025-2029. Out of the 25 members of parliament, 24 voted \u2018for.\u2019 These funds will be directed towards demining, ensuring access to education, promoting the rule of law, protecting human rights, and supporting Ukraine\u2019s economy. This is the largest aid package that Liechtenstein has allocated since the beginning of the full-scale invasion,\u201d <\/em>, – added Oleksandr Vasiuk<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the Parliament of Liechtenstein supported the allocation of 800,000 Swiss francs <\/strong>to increase the capital of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). <\/span><\/p>\n
