Member of Ukrainian Parliament Oleksandr Vasiuk initiated the creation of a parliamentary group for Inter-Parliamentary relations with the Principality of Liechtenstein on December 13, 2022. It includes MPs from different factions. Oleksandr Vasiuk was elected chairman of the group of friendship with the Principality of Liechtenstein.
“I hope for effective cooperation between the parliaments of both countries. Liechtenstein supports Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, in humanitarian issues, and at the international level. Launching an inter-parliamentary dialogue with Liechtenstein will contribute to the development of relations between our countries in many areas. I am confident that joint work with the Parliament of Liechtenstein will strengthen support for Ukraine at the international level,”said Oleksandr Vasiuk..
Main goals and objectives:
- Development of cooperation at the level of parliaments of Ukraine and Liechtenstein in economic, political, educational, cultural and other areas.
- Deepening of international relations between the countries.
- Participation in bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation.
- Cooperation with diplomatic missions.
Diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Liechtenstein were established on February 6, 1992. Liechtenstein is a country in Western Europe. Ліхтенштейн розташований у Західній Європі.
