MP Oleksandr Vasiuk met with the Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine Pier Francesco Zazzo. He spoke about the progress of judicial and anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine.
“We also discussed European integration, support and strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Italy. We also discussed humanitarian issues and assistance to internally displaced persons. This year, Italy holds the presidency of the Group of Seven (G7), which also includes the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Canada. It is important for us that assistance to our country is one of the key issues at the G7 meetings,”said Oleksandr Vasiuk.
Italy provided Ukraine with eight military aid packages in 2022-2023 and joined the IT coalition. Ukraine and Italy signed an agreement on security guarantees for 10 years.
