Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Oleksandr Vasiuk, together with USAID Mission Director to Ukraine James Hope, took part in the opening of the Day Care Center for Children and Families in Kyiv Oblast.
“The center was opened by the Save Ukraine Charitable Foundation with the support of USAID. The center will provide comprehensive psychosocial assistance to children and families who have become internally displaced or have been deported to Russia, orphans and children with disabilities,” noted Oleksandr Vasiuk.
At the center, specialists will work to heal war trauma, help children learn, and prepare them for independent living. All services are free of charge. By the end of 2024, more than 3,000 people, including 1,200 children, will receive psychological assistance under the grant.
“I am grateful to Save Ukraine and the USAID mission for opening this center! It will help many children and adults to undergo psychological rehabilitation and adaptation,” added Oleksandr Vasiuk.
