People’s Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Vasiuk and members of the U.S. Congress held an online meeting to unite in a common prayer.
“We prayed for Ukraine and the United States, for the growth and expansion of our partnership, for a happy future for our nations, for common values, for the Ukrainian military who are defending Ukraine, for our victory. We discussed further support and assistance to Ukraine,” said Mr. Vasiuk.
This was the first time that a prayer meeting between the U.S. Congress and members of the Ukrainian parliament was held in this format.
“We share common values with the United States. It is important for both Ukrainians and Americans to live in an independent state where the rule of law prevails. And the most important thing that unites us is our faith in God. His blessings are for each of us and our nations. I am grateful to the United States for the unwavering support it has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. It is important for us today. After all, the United States is our largest strategic partner and ally. I thank all the participants for an interesting and useful meeting, and I am grateful for their support of Ukraine!” added Oleksandr Vasiuk.
