Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksandr Vasiuk held a meeting at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg with Judge Mykola Hnatovskyi, who was elected to the court representing Ukraine.
“We discussed the ongoing judicial reform in Ukraine, the work of the European Court of Human Rights, cases brought before the Court related to the full-scale invasion and the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia, as well as the current situation in Ukraine,” said Oleksandr Vasiuk.
The European Court of Human Rights is an international judicial body established to ensure the protection of rights and freedoms enshrined in the European Convention. It plays a key role in holding Russia accountable for crimes committed against Ukrainians.
