Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksandr Vasiuk held a meeting with the head of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Ukraine, Nikolai Nenchev.
“I talked about the progress of judicial and anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine. We discussed EU integration, support, and strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Bulgaria. We also touched on the humanitarian direction and assistance to internally displaced persons. We agreed to work on increasing strategic cooperation between our countries and expanding collaboration in key areas. We will strengthen cooperation between the legal policy committees of the parliaments of Ukraine and Bulgaria,” said Oleksandr Vasiuk.
Bulgaria has provided military assistance to Ukraine, supports the country at the international level, and in humanitarian issues. It has provided shelter to refugees from Ukraine. Bulgaria supports Ukraine’s path to NATO and the EU, as well as the implementation of Ukraine’s peace formula.
