Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksandr Vasiuk met with Markus Spoerer, the Policy Advisor to the European Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly. They discussed the implementation of European standards in the field of citizens’ rights protection, ensuring transparency and fairness of government bodies.
“We also discussed the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of anti-corruption mechanisms, as well as the involvement of EU expertise in the fight against corruption and best practices to ensure transparency in all areas of public administration. We agreed on consultations with the EU Ombudsman’s office to improve Ukrainian legislative and human rights initiatives, as well as joint work and communication.
