People’s Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Vasiuk together with the Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Ukraine Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone visited the center for IDPs “Hope and Recovery” in Kyiv. This is a place where internally displaced persons evacuated from the combat zone and those whose homes were destroyed temporarily live.
“In my work, I continue to support and help internally displaced persons who were forced to leave their homes because of the war. Together with the Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Ukraine Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone, we discussed the current situation with IDPs in Ukraine. Orphans, large families, people with disabilities and the elderly need special attention and support,” said Mr. Vasiuk.
The Order of Malta in Ukraine implements humanitarian projects in various fields. These include assistance with psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainians, prosthetics, construction of temporary housing, assistance to IDPs, children with disabilities and orphans. They also deliver humanitarian goods to Ukraine.
“I thank the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone for visiting the center and for his concern for the problems of internally displaced persons! I am grateful to the charitable foundation “Save Ukraine”, which is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), for opening and maintaining the “Hope and Recovery” center!”added Oleksandr Vasiuk..
