At the beginning of 2023, Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Vasiuk, together with partners from the United States, held a competition for the best essay on the topic “Why should the United States support Ukraine?”. The competition is now over. The best essays were published in a collection of essays.
“We received more than 60 essays, in which the authors wrote their thoughts on how important this support is. The jury included American and Ukrainian journalists. I read every single work. Ukrainians are incredible! Talented, professional, creative! Each essay is unique. The best essays were selected and published in a collection that was published in Ukrainian and English,”said Oleksandr Vasiuk.
This contest will help Americans learn more about Ukraine and the fight of Ukrainians against the enemy.
“We will distribute the English version in the United States so that Americans can hear the voices of Ukrainians, their opinions and the importance of such support. Each member of the US Congress and Senate and Americans in different states will receive a copy. I am confident that this will have a positive impact on the friendship between our peoples and on the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States. I am grateful to everyone who took part in this contest,”added Oleksandr Vasiuk.
