During his working visit to the Republic of Iraq, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Oleksandr Vasiuk met with the Mayor of Alqosh, Lara Yousif Zara. She is the first Christian woman to become mayor of this city.
“During my visit to Iraq, I had the honor of meeting Lara Yousif Zara. She was appointed to this position in a time of great difficulty and has become a symbol of recovery and resilience for her city. Her leadership under such challenging circumstances is truly impressive and serves as an example to follow,” said Oleksandr Vasiuk.
